Voting in the expanded national delegates' congress of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) took-off under tight security in the Atwima-Nwabiagya constituency at exactly 0800 hours.
A total of 618 delegates had gathered at the Afari polling centre to decide, who leads the party to the battle for political power in 2012.

Kodua are contesting the presidential primaries.
Sixty-six (66) delegates had cast their ballot as at the time the Ghana News Agency (GNA) visited the voting centre.
One delegate, whose name and picture could not be traced in the constituency voters' roll, was turned away.
The poll is being supervised by the Electoral Commission.
In the Atwima-Mponua Constituency, 50 out of the 791 delegates had voted, 30 minutes after voting had started at the Nyinahin Catholic
Conference Centre.
The atmosphere looked generally relaxed.
