President John Evans Atta Mills leaves Accra on
Saturday, July 24, for Kampala, Uganda, to attend the 15th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Governments of African Union (AU)
scheduled from July 25 to 27.
An official statement said the summit under the theme: "Maternal, Infant and Child Health and Development in Africa", would also focus on
adoption of the African Maritime Transport Charter and appoint members to the Africa Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (AfCHPR).
The statement said President Mills would present a paper on Ghana in relation to the summit theme.
He is expected back home on July 28.
