Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac is confident his young squad can match experienced and star-studded side Ivory Coast squarely and come out victorious in tonight’s make or break match.
"We have a very young team and we are going to play an experienced team.
"It will be a young side out to prove themselves against Ivory Coast.
“It is going to be a very difficult game for us [on Friday], but I promise we are going to beat Ivory Coast," the 55-year-old Serbian told reporters after training in Cabinda.
Eight youngsters from the winning Under-20 World Cup squad received call-ups into the Black Stars side because of injuries to some senior players.
Ghana go into the match without midfielders Anthony Annan, Stephen Appiah, Laryea Kingston and defenders John Paintsil and John Mensah because of injuries while Sulley Muntari was axed for indiscipline.
