The National Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appointed the incumbent Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, as leader of the Minority of the NPP Caucus in the Ninth Parliament, starting from January 7, 2025.
The council has also made some appointments in the party’s caucus in Parliament.
They are the current Deputy Majority Leader, Patricia Appiagyei, who has been maintained as Deputy Leader of the caucus, and the current Majority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, who has also been maintained.
The party also appointed the incumbent First Deputy Majority Whip, Habib Iddrisu, as the First Deputy Minority Whip, and the MP for Mpraeso, Davis Opoku, as the Second Deputy Minority Whip.
These appointments were confirmed when Graphic Online's parliamentary correspondent, Nana Konadu Agyeman, reached out to leadership of the NPP caucus.
