She worked as a Senior Manager at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ghana, where she provided strategic oversight of investments, licensing capital market operators, and developing key regulations that have bolstered the integrity and growth of Ghana's capital markets.

Dr. Kriese taught at the University of Ghana Business School and the University of Professional Studies, Accra.

She holds a PhD in Finance, an MBA, and advanced certification in Islamic Finance and ERP software.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Maryam Issaka Kriese is a passionate advocate for women's rights and empowerment.
