The presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, says he is committed to the peace of the country because he is a peaceful person.
He, has therefore urged the clergy to take an active role in ensuring that all political parties adhere to processes that guarantee peaceful elections, especially in matters concerning the credibility of the voters' register.
He said as the leader of the main opposition party, he will ensure that the NDC upholds peace.
The former President made these remarks during a meeting with the clergy in Accra on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
