The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will begin the second phase of his nationwide campaign towards the 2024 General Elections on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, with a visit to Nayiri’s Palace in Nalerigu to seek blessings of the King of Mamprugu before touring the North East Region.

According to North East Region Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sulley Sambian, the Vice President will be in the North East Region for two days and will hold rallies and interact with various groups.

“The visit of the Vice President to the North East Region will mark the beginning of the second phase of his nationwide campaign tour. Being a son of the North East Region, the Vice President and his campaign team have thought it wise to come home to seek blessings from his father the Nayiri first before embarking on his campaign tour of the North and the nation for that matter,” a statement signed by lawyer Sulley Sambian noted.

“As part of the two-day campaign visit to the region, His Excellency the Vice President will be touring the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency, the Yunyoo constituency and the Bunkpurugu constituency on Wednesday the 10th July, 2024.

Then on Thursday the 11th of July, the team will connect the Chereponi constituency through the Bunkpurugu constituency,” the statement added, urging all party faithful and support to be present and show their support.

H.E ALHAJI DR MAHAMUDU BAWUMIA, THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA AND FLAGBEARER OF THE NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY (NPP) FOR THE 2024 ELECTIONS WILL BEGIN THE 2ND PHASE OF HIS CAMPAIGN TOUR IN THE NORTH EAST REGION ON WEDNESDAY 10TH JULY, 2024

The Regional Chairman and leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the North East Region wish to bring to the attention of the general public that H.E Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and flagbearer of the NPP for the 2024 General Elections will pay a two-day campaign visit to the region on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th July, 2024.

The visit of the Vice President to the Northeast Region will mark the beginning of the second phase of his nationwide campaign tour.

Being a son of the North East Region, the Vice President and his campaign team have thought it wise to come home to seek blessings from his father the Nayiri first before embarking on his campaign tour of the North and the nation for that matter.

As part of the two-day campaign visit to the region, His Excellency the Vice President will be touring the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency, the Yunyoo constituency and the Bunkpurugu constituency on Wednesday the 10th July, 2024. Then on Thursday the 11th of July, the team will connect the Chereponi constituency through the Bunkpurugu constituency. A brief itinerary of the two-day campaign tour to the region is as follows:

1. The flagbearer and the campaign team will arrive in Nalerigu at 8 am and pay a courtesy call on the Nayiri. From the Nayiri, the Vice president will proceed to Gbintiri where he will pay a courtesy call on the chief of Gbintiri, and thereafter proceed to the Gbintiri market square where he will address the whole constituency at a program dubbed Bawumia Community Connect.

2. From Gbintiri, the team will head to Yunyoo at about 12pm. At Yunyoo, the Vice president will pay a courtesy call on Yunyoo Rana and thereafter address party faithful and some identifiable groups. The team will then proceed to the Yunyoo school park where the flag bearer will engage the whole constituency for the Bawumia Community Connect Program after which he will depart with his team to Bunkpurugu at about 3pm

3. The team will arrive in Bunkpurugu at about 4pm where he will begin his tour of the constituency with a courtesy call on the Bunkpurugu Naaba. The flagbearer is expected to address a youth program dubbed “Youth Connect” at about 6pm. Between 4 pm and 6pm, however, the vice president will engage with party stakeholders and key constituents between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm. He will then proceed into the Bunkpurugu town centre where he will directly interface with voters and have an exciting interaction with them. There will also be a brief ceremony in Pagnatik where the vice president will commission the regional feeder roads office complex.

4. The team will pass the night in Bunkpurugu and then connect Chereponi through Bunkpurugu on Thursday 11th July, 2024. Whilst in Chereponi, Dr Bawumia will pay a courtesy call on the paramount chief of the Chereponi Traditional area between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. He will proceed to engage party stakeholders and identifiable groups and eventually address the entire constituency in the Bawumia Community Connect event, bringing closure to his tour of the Chereponi constituency

A permanent feature of the vice president’s tour of the constituencies in the northeast region is the engagement with party stakeholders, influential identifiable groups and the Bawumia Community Connect.

The regional Chairman therefore entreats all party faithful to show up in droves from the constituencies to make the visit of the Vice president and flagbearer of the NPP to the Northeast region a great one.
