Some Traders in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi say they are filled with joy over the announcement by Odeneho Kwaku Appiah to contest as the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party(NPP).
The traders have already pledged their support for Mr. Kwaku Appiah’s bid and have declared their readiness to purchase nomination forms and also campaign massively for him to occupy the position.
According to the traders, they were disappointed in the current leadership of the NPP in the Ashanti Region, and they were yearning for change.
A representative of the traders of the Adwenehemaa, Nana Ama Twenewaa also called Nana Sakina said the traders have confidence in the ability and experience of Mr. Kwaku Appiah to help the NPP ‘Break the Eight’.
She indicated that young people should be allowed to lead and contribute their quota to the party’s development.
Nana Sakina further said the current regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly called Chairman Wontumi to give way to others to lead since he has served and done his part for the party.
Giant Billboards of Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, also known as COKA have been mounted at major intersections in the Kumasi metropolis and parts of the Ashanti Region.
