French President Emmanuel Macron has arrived in Rwanda's capital, Kigali, in efforts to mend relations that have soured for more than two decades.

Last week at the Paris summit on Africa, Mr Macron told journalists that he had agreed with Rwanda's President Paul Kagame “to establish a new page of relations”.

Rwanda's foreign affairs ministry has shared pictures of Mr Macron's arrival.
