Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi has received his Covid-19 vaccine, as part of a national vaccination campaign.
The presidential spokesman posted the news on his official Facebook page on Sunday with a picture showing Mr Sisi taking the jab.
The spokesman, however, did not specify which vaccine Mr Sisi has received.
Egypt launched its nationwide inoculation campaign on 24 January using the vaccine developed by Chinese pharmaceutical firm Sinopharm.
The country has also approved the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which is being made in India as Covishield.
This comes as the country has been witnessing a steady increase in Covid-19 cases during the past weeks.
