Health authorities in Malawi have repeated that they plan to continue using the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine despite research from South Africa finding that it had minimal impact on the mild and moderate infections with the new strain of virus that was first detected in that country.

Malawi's Health Minister Khumbize Kandodo said a team of experts from the country was monitoring developments in South Africa.
