Nigeria's Ekiti state has announced a night-time curfew beginning Monday citing the "alarming rate at which the second wave of Covid-19 is spreading" in the country.
The state has also banned all gatherings of more than 20 people.
Places of worship will be allowed to have two services on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
No indication was given of when the restrictions will be lifted.
The state's spokesperson, Akinbowale Omole, said providers of essential services will not be affected by the new restrictions.
