Police in Uganda say they have rescued dozens of people from a church in the capital, Kampala, where the pastor said they were being treated for their mental illnesses through prayer.
The police found nine of them in chains tied to metal poles.
Evangelical churches have proliferated in Uganda over the last few decades - many of them promising miracles and prosperity.
Most of the people who were found at the church have now been taken to a mental health hospital.
The pastor Geoffrey Ssemwogerere of the Glory Sinai Ministries was arrested and the church has been closed while investigations continue.
