In Kenya, doctors are mourning a colleague who died after contracting coronavirus, the country's main medics' union is saying.
A colleague described the medic as a "young doctor with so much to offer".
She was a gynaecologist who was hailed by many of her patients for her professionalism.
The health ministry said at the beginning of the month that 186 health workers had tested positive for coronavirus and that no doctor had died from the virus.
Some Kenyan doctors tweeted their tributes:
Dr. Mercy Korir @DrMercyKorir We have lost one of our own as a doctors’ fraternity to #Covid_19. A young doctor with so much to offer.
