The New Patriotic Party Parliamentary candidate for the Wassa Amenfi West constituency in the Western Region, Mr Abraham Kofi Asante has donated relief items to flood victims at Prestea Nkwanta.

The items include;, 35 student size mattresses, 40 blankets, five bales of used clothes, four boxes of frytol cooking oil, seven boxes of Jumbo Soap, four boxes of Jumbo mosquito coils, 50 plastic buckets, bowls and cups, 30 treated mosquito nets and a cash of GH¢2,500.

Some parts of Prestea Nkwanta in the Wassa Amenfi West District Assembly (WAWDA) was recently hit by torrential rains where some houses collapsed and several households displaced.

Mr. Asante, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), was accompanied by the District Chief Executive of Wassa Amenfi West, Mr. George Agyiri, and Constituency Women's Organizer, Madam Dorothy Ewusie, constituency Organiser, Mr John Osway and some party faithfuls.

Nana Gyetuah, who received the items on behalf of the chiefs and people of Prestea Nkwanta expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to Mr Asante and his entourage for the kind gesture.

He assured that the items would be distributed to the affected households to achieve the intended purpose.
