When the news broke out yesterday (May 27), the leadership of the House denied it, insisting that it was borne out of speculation. However, it has emerged that the reports are true.

Contributing to a statement on the floor of the House on the need to end the stigmatization against COVID-19 patients, MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, expressed reservations on how the news about the positive cases in Parliament was handled.

He questioned the rationale in attempting to subdue or cover up the facts.

This he said is contrary to what is happening on the global stage where world leaders are openly disclosing their status.

He accused the Media of sensationalism with the reportage, although he fell short of confirming the report.
