The Electoral Commission (EC) has rescheduled the Limited Voters Registration Exercise to take place between Monday, 17th June to Sunday 7th July.
A statement signed by Mrs Jean Mensa, the EC Chairperson and copied to the Ghana News Agency said this follows the dismissal of a motion for interlocutory injunction seeking to restrain the Commission from undertaking the scheduled exercise.
"The registration will take place in all District Offices of the Commission and designated Electoral Areas/centres throughout the country," it said.
It noted that registration would start from 0700 hours to 1800 hours on each day, and would include weekends.
It said prospective applicants were therefore, advised to go to any of the registration centres with any of the following documents as proof of eligibility.
A valid Driver's license, a Ghanaian passport, National Identification card or an old Non Biometric Voters ID Card (This is for applicants who registered before the 2012 Voters Registration Exercise).
"Applicants, who do not have any of the above documents, may go to the registration centres with two registered voters to serve as guarantors for the purpose of registration".
