The leadership of the Volta Caucus of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has congratulated the party’s Member of Parliament (MP) for Ho West, Mr. Emmanuel Bedzrah, on his election to serve on the board of the African Parliamentarians’ Network against Corruption (APNAC).
A statement signed by Mr Asamoah Mensah, National President of the Caucus, said this was a vote of confidence. APNAC is a network of African parliamentarians committed to fighting corruption. Mr. Bedzrah was elected to the board to represent the West African Region at its biennial general meeting held in Accra.
He replaces Mr. Osei-Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs.
APNAC, established in 1999, has the goal of building the capacity of African Parliaments to effectively play their watchdog role, particularly, in the area of government’s spending. The statement encouraged Mr, Bedzrah to continue to give it his all to assist protect the public’s purse.
