Youth Bridge Foundation (YBF), a youth focused organisation on Thursday said securing the future of the youth through education was the only solution to staying on the right path by government.
It said through education, empowering of the youth technically and giving them entrepreneurial skills, stakeholders would help to build a Ghana “Beyond Aid”, an agenda being championed by the President.
Mr Seth Oteng, the Executive Director of YBF, reacting to the second edition of the President’s State of the Nations Address to Parliament, told the Ghana News Agency in Accra that, there is the need for government to design and pursue educational programmes that would make the youth interested in education and its competitiveness.
According to him, the “Beyond Aid” agenda of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a realistic and commendable campaign, however, “When education shrinks, it will become obvious that, it will not be able to attain,” he said.
Commending the President for the decentralised job creation, Mr Oteng called for a transparent selection process that would benefit all, no matter the location, tribe and or political background. “YBF commends the alignment of Corporate entities like Ecobank and Tullow on their Corporate Social Responsibility activities with government's youth development agenda,” he said.
YBF is a youth focused organisation set up to create supportive platforms to challenge the creativity of the youth and to make available critical information and resources needed for total development of the youth.
