Ecuadorian National Anti-Drug Director Colonel Joel Loayza said on Thursday that the anti-drug police has seized some 67 tons of drugs this year.
Loayza said the amount doubled that in 2008, which was about 30 tons.
"We are happy, really, but not satisfied," Loayza said. Loayza said most of the drugs were seized at northern provinces near Colombian border, but did not mention what kind of drugs had been seized.
