Miss Irene Essel, 2009 National Best Teacher, has called on students to desist from examination malpractices and to respect authority.
She made the call at a thanksgiving service, organised by House Four students of Odorgonno Senior High School in Accra on Thursday.
She urged them to set high moral standards for themselves, aspire to achieve excellence and refrain from drug abuse, cyber fraud, sexual
promiscuity and alcoholism among others.
Reverend Kwadwo Fordjour, General Overseer of the True Vine Foundation Ministry, asked the students to abide by the Christian doctrine and resist the get-rich-quick attitude.
Mrs Mary Amankwaah, Headmistress of the School, said Best House award has been instituted by to honour students who excel in academic work and sports and other disciplines.
Master Maxwell Adjei, House Prefect, appealed to the school authorities to solve the problem of over crowding in the dormitories.
He said students of the House had planted about 50 tree seedlings to provide shade and beautify the school.
