Arab League (AL) condemned on Tuesday the massive car bombings which rocked Baghdad earlier in the day, leaving 127 people dead and 448 others injured.
The AL strongly condemns the bombings in Baghdad on Tuesday, it said in a statement,
adding that such acts are jeopardizing the unity and stability of Iraq at a time the war-torn
country is badly in need of its people's efforts to hold elections and to continue building their
country.
The Cairo-based AL urged the various Iraqi parties to stand together to avoid tensions and
political rivalries that fuel conflicts and hinder the political process and the democratic trend.
Earlier on Tuesday, five massive car bombings hit the Iraqi capital, killing a total of 127 people and wounding 448, in the third deadliest series of attacks since August.
Despite the drop in violence in the last two years, recent series of attacks have raised
concerns about the ability of Iraqi security forces to contain violence ahead of the country's national elections early next year.
