Two police officers were wounded as unidentified men attacked their post by hand grenades in
Afghanistan's eastern Khost province, police said on Monday.
"Two grenades were hurled from a vehicle on police post in Gorbaz district late Sunday as a result two police officers got wounded," Basmillah
Hashimi, police chief of Gorbaz district told Xinhua.
The perpetrators made their good escape, he added. Investigation had been launched to arrest the attackers, the police officer further said.
Taliban militants whose regime was toppled in a U.S.-led invasion in late 2001 have intensified their activities against government interests,
particularly security forces to destabilize peace in the country.
