Two persons are being interrogated by the Nsawam
Police over the death of one Maxwell Asem, a 25- year- old driver's mate from Ashaley Botwe, a suburb of Accra.
They are Paul Agbadi, 27 year- old driver and Evans Korankye, 25 year old bulldozer operator.
Briefing the Ghana News Agency, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Alex Kojo Wowolo, Commander in charge of Nsawam District Police told the Ghana News Agency on Thursday that the two suspects are sand winners at Djankama-Doblo near Nsawam in the Akwapem South Municipality.
DSP Kojo Wowolo said at about 1400 hours on Wednesday, November 11, Korankye loaded a tipper truck being driven by Agbadi with sand.
After the daily operations, Korankye went to the police to tell them that he had spotted the hand of the deceased who had gone missing.
DSP Wowolo said the police rushed to the scene and took Maxwell to the Nsawam government hospital but was pronounced dead.
The body has since been deposited at the police hospital mortuary in Accra for autopsy, while police continue with their investigations.
