A total of 328 people, out of 50,234 infected, had died of the A/H1N1 virus in Mexico, the nation's Health Ministry said in a statement Wednesday.
According to the statement, from October to present, 17,284 newly comfirmed cases and 92 deaths had been reported.
The Southern state of Chiapas, the Eastern state of Yucatan and the Northern state of Nuevo Leon were the most infected regions with 70 percent of total infections. Among those infected, 70 percent were between 40 and 54
years of age, the report said.
One million doses of anti-flu vaccines from the French medical firm Sanofi would be delivered to Mexico in November, and the health staff would
be the first group to receive the vaccines, the statement added.
