Mr Mike Hammah, Minister for Transport on Monday paid a working visit to three communities in the Municipality to ascertain progress of work on the expansion of electricity to those areas.
The communities were New Winneba, Ateikyedo and Gyangyanadze.
Mr Mike Hammah who is also Member of Parliamentary of Effutu was accompanied by Effutu Constituency executives of the National Democratic
Congress (NDC). Ex Interacting with the chiefs and people in Gyangyanadze, Mr Hammah said, provision of potable water, electricity, food security, school and health infrastructures, as well as good road for the people are part of Professor John Atta Mills government's priority.
The Minister said that an amount of 80.000 US Dollars has been approved for reshaping and tearing of all roads in the municipality that had was
damaged by rains during the early part of the year.
He also said, as part of efforts to reduce land litigations and indiscrimination sale of lands in the municipality, his outfit in conjunction with the municipal Assembly will meet chiefs and land owners on the need to establish land bank.
This he said would make land available for potential investors and for other developmental ventures.
Mr Hammah appealed to the Ghanaians to give the government sometime to put things in order and stop criticizing it of being slow.
He urged his people to do their best to maintain the peace which is currently prevailing in the Winneba Township and also contribute towards the development of municipality.
