Three days of torrential rains in the Janga community of the West Mamprusi District has flooded the area, with over 100 houses submerged and several people displaced.
Farm lands, roads, places of worship, including the house of Mr. Stephen Sumani Nayina, Northern Regional Minister were submerged.
Mr. Joseph Dasana, the Regional Coordinating Director and Mr. Zakaria Sulley Abudu Lord, District Chief Executive for West Mamprusi visited the area to find out the extent of damage to life and property.
Na Tuma Saaka Sumani, Chief of Janga said the community had been having sleepless nights for three days following persistent rains which caused the flooding.
