Mr Peter Light Koomson, Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Chief Executive has asked Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to extend their programmes to the remote areas to improve the living standard of the people.
Mr Koomson made the call when he addressed a-day's Central Regional Civil Society health forum at Ajumako.
The forum organised by the Central Region Branch of the Ghana Coalition of NGOs was on the theme, "Harmonizing Partisanship among Civil Society Organisation and the Ghana Health Service to Promote Better Health".
About 60 participants, including members of the coalition, chiefs, assembly members, health personnel, educationists and opinion leaders attended the programme.
Mr Koomson entreated the NGO's to register with district assemblies, the Social Welfare Department and the Ghana Health Service in their respective areas of operation.
