Jordan discovered its first two A/ H1N1 flu cases, said a statement by the Health Ministry carried by the official Petra news agency late Monday evening.
Minister of Health Nayef Al Fayez said in the statement that the infections were found in two young girls who came from abroad, adding that they are now receiving medication in the capital of Amman.
He said the two girls were in good conditions, and that they were isolated as a precaution.
The influenza has been found in the Middle East including Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Egypt and Bahrain.
