Mr Kwadwo Adjei-Dwomoh, Nkoranza North District Chief Executive have urged parents and guardians to invest in the education of their wards in spite of any hardship that they may face.
He reminded parents that quality education was the only worthy legacy they could bequeath to their children and urged them to invest their resources in their children's education.
Mr Adjei-Dwomoh made the call when he addressed the chiefs and people of Bomini as part of a familiarization tour of communities in the district.
The DCE expressed concern about the attitude of some parents to shirk their responsibilities to their children "who then take to the streets and engage in social vices".
"Children are our assets and we need to ensure that they are brought up well, so as to become disciplined and useful citizens," Mr. Adjei-Dwomoh said.
Mr. Kwabena Kyeremeh, Assembly Member for the area in a welcoming address appealed to the district assembly to renovate the three classroom block of the local kindergarten.
He commended the assembly for providing the community with 20 low tension poles towards the extension of electricity to newly developed areas of the community.
The Assembly Member commended the Member of Parliament for the area, Major Derek Oduro (rtd), for providing the community with some paints towards the renovation of the local primary school block.
Nana Baffo Korkor III appealed to the assembly members to support the DCE whom he advised to reciprocate, by working to win and maintain the confidence and trust of the people.
The chief cautioned metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives against the misappropriation of government funds to the detriment of the development of their communities.
