Mr Michael Cudjoe Ntumy, Techiman Circuit Court Judge, has exhorted Christians to respect and obey the country's laws.
Speaking on the theme; "The Christian and Contemporary Law," at the Fountain Gate Chapel International in Techiman, the judge asked Christians to draw the line between the law and sin, explaining that, the law was "the command of the sovereign to do or not to do something".
The Fountain Gate Chapel International organised the forum with the aim of spiritually and socially equipping 40 pastors and members in Techiman Municipality to function effectively.
Mr Ntumy advised Christians to be abreast of the intestate succession law and take advantage of the customary law on inheritance to save victims from further injustice.
He said it was a responsibility for Christians to ensure that not only their rights were respected but those of others as well.
He advised victims of rights abuse to report to the relevant organisations such as the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) and Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DVVSU).
A pastor of the church, Prince Korang Antwi-Boasiako said the church had drawn up programmes including 'business management,' the 'Christian and Health,' an 'Entrepreneurship Seminar' and the 'Christian and Contemporary Law' to educate Christians on the laws of the country.
