Mrs Theresa Adomako Tawiah, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Mponua, has urged the people in the district to help ensure proper maintenance of all projects.
The DCE made the appeal during an inspection of some borehole and hand-dug wells constructed by the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) for some communities in the district.
Addressing the people of Akorabuokrom, one of the beneficiary communities, Mrs Adomako Tawiah appealed to Ghanaians to be patient as it was too early to criticize the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for non performance and said it would fulfil all campaign promises.
She advised the chiefs and people to undertake projects on their own to help raise their living conditions and to keep their communities clean through communal labour.
Mrs Adomako Tawiah called on members of the Unit Committees to co-operate with the traditional rulers to help promote peace, stability and progress in the community.
Mr Rihovey Jerome, ADB Water and Sanitation Specialist said his outfit had dug 180 boreholes including hand-dug wells and provided toilet facilities for the people in the area to improve on sanitation.
