Teye Mensah, 36, a health service volunteer at Ningokrom in the Dormaa East district has been honoured by the Wamfie health center for his dedication to duty.
For his reward, the volunteer took home a phoenix bicycle worth GHC 50.
Presenting the bicycle, the medical assistant in-charge of the center, Mr John Agampim commended the recipient for showing keen interest in voluntarism since 2000, and urged him to keep it up.
He noted that the item, though small, was symbolic and good enough to trigger interest among other volunteers in the area towards hard work.
Mr Teye Mensah expressed joy at the honour and assured the center of more surprises as the bicycle would enhance his attitude towards work.
