The Winneba Magistrate's Court has sentenced a 22- year old Plumber to nine months imprisonment with hard labour for destroying a kiosk and attempted to steal.
Kwame Bentum pleaded guilty.
Narrating the fact of the case to the court presided over by Mr. Ali Baba Abature, Prosecuting Police Chief Inspector, Paul Adamah said, on October 9, 2008, the accused person defied a heavy downpour during the night and broke into a provision kiosk at Kewndum, a suburb of Winneba.
The prosecution said 'a good Samaritan' saw Bentum and raised the alarm and he was chased and arrested.
Bentum was later handed over to the police.
