United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon is arriving in Kathmandu for a one-day visit on Friday.
Secretary General Ban is scheduled to reach the capital by UN's special plane from the Delhi Airport at around 6 pm (1215 GMT) Friday evening.
Soon after he lands in Kathmandu, he is scheduled to meet Nepali Prime Minister Prachanda and will also be attending a party organized by the Prime Minister, the Nepali Foreign Ministry informed.
According to the ministry, Ban will be heading for a mountain flight to view the Himalayas on a Nepal Army chopper Saturday morning.
He will be meeting President Ram Baran Yadav.
Likewise, Ban will also be meeting Minister for Foreign Affairs Upendra Yadav, Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala, and Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subash Chandra Nemwang and will be addressing the CA.
Meanwhile, Ban will meet the press about his visit Saturday.
Lastly, he will be heading towards Lumbini in southern Nepal to visit the birth place of Gautam Buddha Saturday afternoon.
Ban will be leaving for Bangladesh later Saturday.
