Colombian police seized 150 guns and 700kg of drug in a hiding place of a Colombian paramilitary chief in the northwest Antioquia province, authorities said Sunday.
Police found on Saturday the hiding place during an operation codenamed "Republic 56" to combat the armed gang of Daniel Rendon, alias "Don Mario," in Antioquia.
A total of 500 kg of cocaine and 200 kg of cocaine base paste were discovered in the hiding place, said the police.
They also found large quantities of weapons and ammunition, as well as seven radio communication equipment, 98 guns and 40 riffles.
Don Mario, chief of the paramilitary United Self Defense of Colombia (AUC), is one of the most wanted by Colombian authorities.
