The Ghana Institute of Planning (GIP) has announced that Sunyani will host its 53rd Annual General Conference and Meeting (AGCM) from November 21-22, 2024.
The event will take place at the Eusbett International Conference Center under the theme “The Nexus between Integrated Planning and Ghana’s Decentralized Development: Prospects, Challenges, and the Way Forward.”
The GIP made this known in a statement signed and issued by its President, Percy Anaab Bukari on Monday.
The decision to hold the AGCM in Sunyani reflects GIP’s commitment to rotating its annual meetings across the country to encourage active participation from members and stakeholders.
This approach aims to promote inclusivity, strengthen regional engagement, and ensure that planning professionals nationwide contribute to shaping Ghana’s development.
The 2024 AGCM will feature keynote addresses, expert discussions, and technical sessions focused on integrated planning processes to enhance sustainable local development.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with leading professionals, policymakers, and development practitioners. Additionally, participants can explore the natural beauty and rich culture of the Bono Region through various sightseeing activities.
