The Advantage Group (TAG), a consortium of companies focused on ideas, people and development on Friday 17th November lighted up the monument at the AU Square in Accra to mark the Cervical Cancer elimination day. This event was organised in collaboration with the Republic Bank.
17 November marks three years since the world united for a global day of action, with a shared commitment to eliminate a cancer for the first time. In 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) launched the Global strategy to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer by 2030. 17 November, world leaders, survivors, advocates, partners, and civil society will call for action by sharing stories and resources to drive efforts to screen, prevent, treat, and ultimately eliminate cervical cancer everywhere.
Like its flagship agency, MullenLoweAccra, the premier and leading Social Behaviour Change Communications agency in the country, TAG firmly believes in all interventions that promote social well-being through design and communication.
The WHO Cervical Cancer elimination programme- like many other health and social interventions before it, be it COVID-19, HIV/AIDS, Reproductive Health, Maternal and Child Health, Hand wash, Education, or any other, provides us opportunity to put our collective knowledge, expertise and talent together for a good cause.
