Global Citizen, an international advocacy organization, dedicated to achieving the end of extreme poverty, has selected JA Africa, one of the largest and most-impactful youth-serving NGOs in Africa, as one of the causes they will be supporting at the Global Citizen Festival: Accra. The event will take place at the iconic Black Star Square in Ghana’s capital, Accra, on September 24, 2022, hosted by Danai Gurira and featuring live performances from Usher, SZA, Stormzy, Gyakie, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, TEMSand more.
JA Africa, headquartered in Accra, operates in 13 African countries and reaches more than 300,000 youth each year with programs which equip youth with the skillset and mindset to build thriving communities. Through this collaboration, Global Citizen is bringing JA Africa’s work into the limelight, and inspiring those who can make things happen to support the achievement of the common goals of both organizations.
The overarching goal of the Global Citizen Festival is to call on leaders to:

She added, “We invite all Global Citizens to support JA Africa’s Climate Changemakers Fellowship program which will empower Ghana’s youth to establish innovative solutions to climate-induced business and community-related problems.”
