The CTVET examination started with the core subjects from August 1 to 8, 2022, while the electives which started on August 15 will end on August 26, 2022. A total of 26,909 candidates wrote the core subjects.

The examination is conducted in two parts; Part one comprises the core subjects and part two comprises the electives subjects.

Programmes

In all, a total of 56,522 candidates are writing four core subjects and 33 different elective subjects in the technical and vocational courses.

The core subjects are made up of English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies and Entrepreneurship.

The Certificate II Core and Electives Examinations are conducted for TVET candidates who are preparing to enter tertiary institutions across the Country by the Commission for TVET.

Briefing the Daily Graphic, the Director-General of the CTVET, Dr Fred Kyei Asamoah, said the core examination was completed on August 8, while the candidates started the elective subjects on Monday, August 15.

He said in all, the candidates were from 158 schools, writing in 94 centres throughout the country under the supervision of 96 supervisors.

Dr Asamoah said a total of 1,116 invigilators, 140 external inspectors and 93 assistant inspectors had been deployed at the examination centres.

“The country has been zoned into 20 and the questions are hosted in 48 depots under the supervision of 13 external depot keepers with 100 police officers at the centres,” he added.
