This No Be Art, an Accra based art consultancy founded by Essé Dabla-Attikpo, is proud to present the fifth edition of Asimè Pop-up Art Sale in collaboration with Jamestown Coffee Roasters/Warehouse. The show opens at the café (Nyaniba Estates, Osu) this weekend on Saturday, 25th September and Sunday the 26 from 10:00hrs to 18:00hrs each day. With Asimè, This No Be Art aspires to support and connect local artists to collectors and art lovers in alternative spaces.
This edition features 8 artists living and practicing in Ghana. The line-up includes: Worlanyo Agbodra Prince, Kekeli, Tata Gasakor, Emekanu, Amy Avan, Sel kofiga, Fritswa, Kino Zen. These artists work in diverse mediums including drawing, painting, photography and print. All works are unique, and for sale starting as low as 195 GHS (30€ / $33).
Since May 2021, with the Asimè initiative, This No Be Art has featured over 50 artists. This is in keeping with its mission to democratise the experience and consumption of local art, a mission shared with Jamestown Coffee Roasters/Warehouse, which provides a space for this.
