Some interesting general insights are as follows:
Some cities badly hit by the pandemic, including Milan, Moscow, New York, Barcelona, and several cities in Belgium have been surprisingly over-performing in the ranking charts.
We also see strong positions held by locations that are relatively unscathed by the pandemic, like Taipei and Singapore.
The United States leads global coronavirus innovation efforts, while Israel and Canada hold leading positions at 2nd and 3rd globally. In the top 10 ranked countries, Belgium, Switzerland, and the UK held their positions at 4th, 5th, and 6th respectively.
