The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Mr Samuel Abu Jinapor, has paid a working visit to the Ghana Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation (GIADEC) to acquaint himself with its operations.
He expressed his readiness to work closely with management of GIADEC, to drive the Government's industrial transformation agenda.
Mr. Micheal Ansah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GIADEC, welcomed the Minister and his team and took them around the offices of GIADEC, to interact with members of staff.
During the interactions, the Minister explained his ambition for GIADEC and gave the assurance that, he would provide the needed leadership and support towards realising the President's vision of building an integrated aluminum industry in the country.
The CEO of GiADEC, Mr Ansah, on his part, stated that GiADEC made considerable progress in selecting strategic investors as partners towards developing an integrated aluminum industry, and that it was working on other downstream industries.
The Ministry and GIADEC recommitted themselves towards developing an integrated aluminum industry to facilitate the country's industrial drive.
