The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has urged its consumers to use water wisely following the extension of the free utility package for the poor and needy from January to March 2021.
According to a press statement issued and signed by the Head of Public Relations and Communication, GWCL, Mr. Stanley Martey, “all Lifeline domestic customers of the company on category 611, who consume between zero to Five cubic meters of water in a month, would have their bills absorbed and paid by the government”.
“His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, has directed the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, and the Ghana Water Company Limited that, from January to March 2021, All LIFELINE Domestic customers of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) on category 611, who consume between 0 (zero) to 5 (Five) cubic meters of water in a month, shall have their bills absorbed and paid by the government,” the statement noted.
