Alumni of the University of Applied Management-Ghana has inaugurated its executive committee to coordinate the affairs of the association in the country.
The event, which took place at the UAM-Ghana campus at Kwabenya Hills, off Pokuase ACP-Kwabenya Highway, was witnessed by some university administrators, members of faculty, alumni and students.
The Executive Director of the university, Prof. Martin Gyambrah, who swore in the executives, urged them to collaborate with the institution to realise the set goals of the network.
The coordinating executive included Mr Michael Ato Yorke, Coordinator; Dr Kojo Ackaah-Kwarteng, Deputy Coordinator, Marketing and Social Media; Mr Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, Director of Special Projects and Communications; Mrs Kate Nicco-Annan, Treasurer, and Mrs Miriam Gyambrah, university representative.
Appreciation
On behalf of his colleagues, Mr Yorke expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to work hard to realise the objectives of the network.
“We will perform our duties to the best of our abilities and also work to make the network a vibrant one and the institution one of the best in the country,” he added.
UAM-GH alumni
The UAM-GH Alumni Network is a community and professional platform for life-long learning that focuses on offering practical benefits of networking opportunities and support for career development to the university’s alumni from 20 countries with diverse professional portfolios in accounting, education, engineering, finance, health, hospitality, law, media, psychology, among other programmes.
The network also seeks to build the capacity of members through the provision of online networking opportunities, alumni ambassadorial responsibilities, exclusive offers for continuing education, career development advisory sessions, job share opportunities and dialogue series.
The UAM-Ghana campus is also a centre for hands-on competence that prepares students for future leadership roles in global settings by emphasising on the development of international and inter-cultural competencies through its diverse portfolio of undergraduate and master’s degree programmes in Sports Management, Business Administration and Business Psychology.
