The best airlines in the world for 2019 have been revealed.
The annual Skytrax World Airline awards crowned Middle Eastern airline, Qatar Airways, the best in the world, knocking last year’s winner, Singapore Airlines, into second place.
Japan’s ANA All Nippon Airways came in third with Cathay Pacific and Emirates coming in fourth and fifth respectively.
The annual awards were voted for by over 20 million passengers.
As well as presenting awards for the best airlines, Skytrax also awarded the best cabin crew, best low-cost airline and cleanest airlines.
Singapore Airlines may not have won best airline, but it did take the top spot for best cabin crew.
AirAsia won best low-cost airline, with the UK’s EasyJet coming in second place.
Ryanair also snuck in at 9th place as one of the top ten best low-cost airlines. Aside from the two budget carriers, other UK-based airlines failed to rank among the top 10.
Taiwan’s EVA Air was ranked the world’s cleanest airline.
Other awards included Air Transat for best leisure airline, ANA All Nippon Airways for best airport services, Norwegian for best low-cost long-haul airline, Philippine Airlines for most improved airline, and Bangkok Airways for best regional airline.
