He gave the warning during a Public hearing organized by the Municipal Assembly at Sebrepor.

The Chief Executive noted that some residents had resorted to stealing lands owned by the government and "we shall come after you in due course".

According to him, some parcels of land acquired by government to build schools, hospitals and markets to serve the people in the Municipality had been tempered with.

"Some people have taken advantage of government's inability to develop the lands and were selling them to unsuspecting individuals with impunity, " he noted.

Mr. Appiah further advised residents who were building on water ways and on demarcated roads to put their projects to a halt and seek permit from the Municipal Assembly for further directions.

The MCE also called on the residents to help tackle the sanitation issues adding that per the directives from the President, the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies were running Assemblies without boundaries saying residents must assist each other regardless of the district in which they resided to fight the sanitation menace battling the various Assemblies.

Present at the event were  the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr  Mike Owusu Amoako, Heads of various departments and local opinion leaders.
