The Brong-Ahafo Regional Police Command has assured the citizenry in the region of adequate measures being made to fight all criminal activities.
The police in a release signed by Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong, the Regional Police Public Relations Officer and copied the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday in Sunyani, said the Command had initiated a number of actions to forestall any breach of the prevailing peace in the region.
It urged all, especially drivers, to be law-abiding citizens and obey road traffic rules and regulations to prevent accidents which has become a canker in our society.
The statement said the Regional Motto Traffic and Transport Department in conjunction with the Ghana Road Safety Commission would organise sensitisation programmes at selected lorry parks in the region to help minimise road crashes.
It urged the general public to cooperate with the Police Administration in their effort to combat crime, adding that individuals and families must also be alert about the people they come across in their day to day activities.
The release advised the public to control their communications in public particularly on issues of money so that they could not be trailed to their homes and work places to be attacked.
The Police has intensified mobile and foot patrols and also increased Police visibility in every community to clamp down on criminal activities in the region, it said and urged individuals and residents in communities to bury their differences to sustain the peace in the region.
