As aspiring EMBA students seek to navigate an increasingly crowded school market – with more programs and more delivery formats – QS Quacquarelli Symonds have today released their 2018 list of the world’s top Executive MBA courses. The rankings categorise 143 programs by type – standalone or joint - and by region.
In a ranking that illuminates the strengths of Western programs, the Wharton School in the United States takes the number-one position. Wharton’s EMBA course achieves world-leading scores for three of the five metric groups used by QS to compile the ranking. It offers participants excellent employer recognition, world-class thought leadership, and market-leading career outcomes.

The QS EMBA Rankings 2018 are compiled using five metric groups, each designed to provide quantitative data regarding key questions aspiring EMBA candidates seek answers to. These metric groups are:

For example, the ability to fund the educational experience remains a big consideration for today’s EMBA candidates. Thankfully, many EMBA students are fortunate to have financial support from their employers. Business schools reported to QS that nearly half of their students receive some level of corporate sponsorship, on average, with around 20 percent obtaining full funding. This willingness to invest in talent is a testament to the immediate and long-term value of the degree as perceived by global employers.”
