A document made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), stated that, the public hearings from February 6 to February 12, will be restricted to discussions on the petition for the creation of a new region in the Bono East area.

It said the petition for the creation of a new region in the Ahafo area will be discussed at the public hearings from February 13 to February 17 The Bono East public hearings will be hosted at Eusbett hotel conference hall, at Sunyani.

The next hearing will take place at the community centre in Kajaji, Sene East District while there will be another hearing at the Methodist Church in Yeji, Pru District. Others are scheduled for the Anglican Church in Atebubu, Atebubu-Amantin District, from February 6 to February 9, respectively.

The Municipal Assembly hall in Nkoranza, in the Nkoranza District and the community centre in Techiman, Techiman municipality, will witness their public hearings on February 10 and February 12 respectively.

The Ahafo public hearings will commence on February 13, at the Eusbett hotel conference hall, Sunyani, the St Anthony of Padua Cathedral in Goaso, Asunafo North will host the next hearing on February 14.

The St Peters Catholic Church in Sankore, Asunafo South district, Hwidiem SHS Assembly hall in Hwidiem, Asutifi North District and the Bechem Community Centre in Bechem, Tano south District will also hold public hearings from February 15 to February 17 respectively.

The Commission of Inquiry into the creation new Regions was established by the President under CI 105 to examine petitions on the possible creation of new Regions.
